Online-Casino-LobbyMany people prefer to gamble online, rather than in land-based casinos. The most obvious reason would be the ease of access, in time as well as place. Online casinos are open all days of the week and all days of the year, and they can be accessed from the comfort of your home or office. Players who have been gambling online will tell you, that you are offered much higher odds online, compared to land-based casinos. Also online casinos are also known to provide new varieties of games, and also new variations in the old games so that gambling never becomes a boring activity.

Gambling in Online Casino

June 22nd, 2009 / Posted by suicidalsam in General, Online Casino

Online_CasinoWith the popularity of the Internet, gambling too has started becoming an online activity, which previously was limited to the solid brick and mortar establishments. There are now innumerable online casinos on the Web, providing all the gambling games, and the same odds and payback percentages as a land-based casino. Some of them even pay much more, and like to show their payouts on their websites. All of them claim to use random number generating software, so that the dice, cards and numbers appear randomly.

The usual games that are offered in an online casino are Blackjack, Craps, Baccarat, Roulette, online Poker and online Slot machine. Online casinos usually operate in three ways. The first type is where the games are played with the help of your browser plugins like flash players, shockwave or java. You need a good broadband connection to play in this way, as lot of graphics, sound and animations are loaded through the web.

Some online casinos require you to download their software on to your computer. This software will connect to the site and handle all the contact and gameplaying. This way the game will play faster, as majority of the components are there in the software you have downloaded. In this type of play you always run the risk of getting some malware downloaded on to your computer. You should always check the reputation of the online casino before you download any software.

The third type is playing the games in real time with other web players in a casino environment. This is gaining popularity, and the players are able to see, hear and interact with other players as well as with live dealers.

Each online casino has its own ways of attracting players to its site, by offering different bonuses and prizes.

USA Online Casino Betting

May 1st, 2009 / Posted by suicidalsam in General, Online Casino, Sports Betting

USA-CasinoThe online gambling industry was on an all time high between the years 2001 to 2006. There were a variety of payment options for the USA Players which included the deposits from credit cards, online vendors such as PayPal or online money transfers from NETeller etc. There was money being brought in from all the corners of the US subcontinent and separate financial sections were dedicated for the USA casinos. It was the time when the internet casinos flourished and in turn benefited the USA players.

However, the most recent government activities have put a stop to the online income. This has restricted a lot of American players and a majority of the USA Sportsbooks have suffered massively. In the late 2006, the US congress passed a regulation against internet gambling and called it unlawful. This was done to stop online gambling for the USA players. Instead of stopping the players from betting online, the government targeted all the banks that were responsible for processing payments for the gamblers. It was then pronounced to be illegal to send money to NETeller and even Paypal dropped out of the online casino market.

Furthermore, the credit card companies stopped processing payments for gamblers in the United States and this left no option for the players to deposit money into the online casinos. Hence, then started a norm that the online casinos wouldn’t allow the USA players to bet on their sites in order to comply with the government rules. However, this led to a decline in the traffic hitting these online casinos and leading to the decrease in the overall revenue. Thus newer options have now surfaced the market and payment methods such as e-check are being allowed by USA Friendly Casinos in order to encourage USA players.

Scoring Twenty-One in Blackjack

April 29th, 2009 / Posted by suicidalsam in General, Online BlackJack

blackjack-21Blackjack is a card game in which you are dealt two cards. One is face up for the table to see, the other is face down and only each individual player can see their own card. Each number card represents itself, and the face cards (Jacks, Queens, and Kings) are all worth 10. An ace is either worth 1 or 11, which depends upon what the player wants it to be. The goal of the game of blackjack is to score twenty-one among your cards; however, you can also win by being the player who is closest to twenty-one. If you exceed a score of twenty-one in blackjack, then you “bust” and are out of the game.
